Brand Camping Cres & Lošinj and the Čikat campsite crowned the best at the ADAC Camping Awards

Brand Camping Cres & Lošinj, with the Čikat campsite, won the ADAC camping award in the ADAC Camping Booking category at the recently held ADAC Camping Gala for the interactive map project, which represents a revolution in digitalization and facilitates the process of booking a camping vacation by offering user-friendly solutions.

The ADAC Camping Award is the most prestigious accolade bestowed by the camping industry, specifically by Pincamp, the camping portal of the German AutomobileClub (ADAC). The ADAC Camping Gala took place as part of the CMT tourism fair in Stuttgart.

The interactive map project did not come about by chance; rather, it is the result of years of desire, research, and planning to enhance the automation of the accommodation booking process and provide precise information about available lodging capacities. Additionally, the map is designed in a user-friendly manner to facilitate usage for all users, whether they are already familiar with the campsite or are planning to visit for the first time.

The new interactive map of the campsite has been created as an upgrade to the existing map, featuring a new design, solutions, and functionalities that provide users with an even better experience in planning and staying at the campsite. The map is primarily designed for easy and quick accommodation booking, allowing guests to choose their ideal lodging based on their preferences and needs. The interactive map developed and implemented by the Camping Cres & Lošinj brand in collaboration with partners represents a unique solution. It integrates with the reception program MisH by Istratech, facilitating real-time availability-based sales of accommodation units. The development and implementation were assisted by TRI M and the online booking engine by Phobs d.o.o.

Campsites nominated in various categories at this year's ADAC Camping Awards are from Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Croatia, Austria, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. An international panel of judges, consisting of 44 experts from the camping industry, selected the nominees from a hundred different proposals.

Uwe Frers, the CEO of ADAC, emphasized the significance of this award by stating, "ADAC Camping Awards pay tribute to the trendsetters in the camping industry. These awards in our profession are on par with the Oscars in the film industry."

It is worth mentioning that this is the second major award for the Camping Cres & Lošinj brand in just five years. In 2019, the project "Safe camping in the area of the Čikat campsite" was awarded the ADAC Camping award in the innovative project of the year category. Additionally, in previous years, the Slatina campsite received the ADAC recognition for the project "Camping cum cane" (Camping with dogs).

This recent award reaffirms our position as trailblazers in setting trends within the camping industry, a recognition also acknowledged by our peers in the field.
